Introducing Germany

Germany has the largest population of any country in the European Union and in the wake of the Second World War, it has developed into an important European and international trade partner.

Germany is a country of immigration. Of the 82 million or so inhabitants, approximately 7 million are the owners of a foreign passport. It is not only the influences from other countries, which makes it difficult to describe Germany; there are also huge differences between the various regions.

An insight into German society can be found on the “make it in Germany“ website.
